Sam Prince 0:05 Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a great actor on stage or television? Do you wish you had an acting coach to help you get to the next level? Or maybe you just have a great idea for a movie series are played but aren't quite sure where to start? Well, you are in the right place my friend. My name is Sam Prince and I am the director of a production company here in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and have been an actor for over 30 years. I've directed and written plays, and screenplays and taught many acting classes. This podcast is your place to learn how to move forward with your career in acting, theater, film, playwriting, screenwriting, and much more. There will be inspiring conversations with special guests as well. So welcome to the creativitorium podcast and action. Hello, my name is Sam Prince and I am so excited to start my podcast the Creativitorium all the topics and guests will revolve around the performing arts, acting, film, entertainment, behind the scenes and camera, play in screenwriting and so much more. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. Okay, so I majored in English and minored in theater at the University of Michigan, a long, long time ago. And once I was in my first college play, it was over I became addicted to acting, entertaining audiences feeling that chemistry with other actors and crew on stage, that vibe you get just from being on stage, you know, there's there's just nothing like it. So ever since then, I've been in many community plays and off Broadway shows around the country, film many commercials and short films locally in the Midwest and in New York City. I've written and directed to plays with plans to do many more in the future. I just completed my first children's book. And I've written a couple screenplays with one of my very good friends. So acting and writing, obviously are in my blood. And it's one of those things that I'm truly passionate about. So just this year, the year I turned 50 years old, my wife and I decided that I needed to downsize my day job that wasn't acting and performing, and just start pursuing my passion and sharing my knowledge with as many people as I could around the world. And so here we are. And what I'm going to do is I'm going to pour my passion into this podcast. And I also want to pour my passion in helping anyone else out there who has a love for performing and writing as well, but not quite sure where to start, where to where leave off where to go. I want to help you. And from acting coaching to Creative Writing to how to produce a play, I would like to be your guide, and mentor through that plus process. So expect this podcast to be about just that. Alright, I'm going to give you the behind the scenes, and behind the curtain advice and nobody else is giving, along with tips and tricks on how you can build your career in acting, or writing. So just about every week, I will have a special guest from the industry talking about their field of expertise, all to teach you how you can become a better actor, or screenwriter or play writer. And I actually know a good number of famous people. So believe it or not keep listening because you never know who I'll have on. So do you want to be the best actor you can be? Would you like to get that play? Or your film idea out to the world or on a news but aren't quite sure how to go about doing that? Well, you found the right podcast.
